Hello, Everyone
I'm sure this has been posted a few hundred times before and I used the search function here before deciding to post but couldn't find the answers I was looking for.
So to get started. I dabble in producing electronic music, it's more of a hobby than anything. Recently I've noticed that my on board sound card sounds like garbage compared to a cheap-o plantronics headset I have with a built in sound card. I have no room in my case to add an internal sound card due to two large GPU's covering most all of my PCI lanes. My only option is to choose an external sound card, which I am not against by any means. I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD25-1 II headphones and I need something to plug them into!
I've been looking at something like the Presonus Firestudo Mobile but have read mixed reviews that the headphone input is lacking on power or that the headphone jack needs to be twisted / wiggled to secure proper balance coming from the speakers (those reviews I read that stated that may have been using crappy headphones). I'd rather not get an M-Audio product.
Ideally I'd like something that has a few extera inputs so I can hook up some extra hardware in the future. My budget is from $200-300 USD.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge or who was once in the same boat as I am could help shed some light on this situation.
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
