Open headphones, looking for the perfect mix of soundstage, bass and comfort

I want more then anything to find a comfortable headphone that does not fatigue or sweat. I also want to find a pair of headphones that has a decent amount of bass without distorting the other ranges. I've owned the denon 2000's but I hated the cable and how it swiveled.  I'm currently looking at the Beyerdynamic 990 pro, Ultrasone 2400's and Sennheiser 600's. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

What source(s) are you going to be plugging the headphones into?

I have the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250-Ohm, they are full bass and treble headphones and I like it.

They what I call 'theater" headphones, headphones you wear when you want to feel like your in a movie theater.

So full bass and treble, vocals are not forward, but nothing wrong with the vocals ether.

No fatigue?
Decent amount of bass?

Sounds like the HD650.

To me, the 990 (600 ohm version) bass is more pronounced/controlled,  they also work nice for some gaming. A bit on the bright side.

The HD650 is great but the damn thing hold on to your head like its bolted on.  Then the DT990 600ohm is very comfortable but not as nice sounding as HD650.  Like purple angel said i use the beyer for movie listening and use hd650 for music.  If your willing to shell out a bit more the LCD-2 does a good job but is on he heavy side.  Not as tight as HD650 and better bass than DT990.

This.

The Pro has more bass than the 600ohm, and the treble isn't as harsh.

When people say the HD650's have bass it scares me. I wonder if these same people also say the ad700's have bass. Which after reading reviews I got a while back and wondered what I was missing. They sounded like the bass had completely been removed.

Yes, the Ultrasone 2400, and the DT990, have enough bass to for 3 hps. If you want a balanced sound hps but still with decent amount of bass, you can try the Q701, or the HD600. Form the Ultrasone series I'll recommend the PL/Pro-650.

This.

The K (or Q) 701/2 and HD 580/600/650 are very good candidates for what's being described - the HFI-2400 has more bass than some closed headphones (it's a muddy mess compared to anything else mentioned in this thread (I don't know about the DT990s but I assume they aren't muddy)).

If they don't have to be open-back, the Kenwood KH-K1000 will also get my endorsement.

I'm unaware of headphone that sweats, but most headphones will cause your head to sweat given enough time in a warm enough room; this includes the AKGs, Sennheisers, and Ultrasones mentioned thus far (and if you think the HD 580/600/650 is clampy, don't even consider the HFI-2400).
