As some of you may recall, I created a charity thread some months back with links to all manner of different charities hoping to raise money to help towards the drought in Somalia, it seemed popular so I can only imagine it did well.
Well, today several months later I was hoping to curry favour with Head.Fi's generosity and kindness yet again.
My other half works for this amazing charity called Restless Beings, completely voluntarily like all their staff, and they've started this new fundraiser to help build an entire village for 100 displaced and homeless street children in Dhaka, Bangladesh. These are some of the most marginalised children in the city, many of whom have come from very deprived backgrounds, with a history of abuse, exploitation and worse.
She's put my name forward as a fundraiser, and I'm hoping to raise a bit of money for the cause.
Whoever raises the most out of the referrals actually gets to go to Bangladesh and help with the project hands on, meet all the children etc (what a great and humbling incentive right?). Besides that there are no other incentives or anything (other than helping the needy!). This is a strictly non profit non wage or commission based charity.
If you guys have the time, please do donate, even if it's as little as £5-£10, it's still something. PayPal, Credit Card payments etc are all accepted.

If you're based in London come along to one of the charity events. RB host one every few months and they're always great fun! Many/most of them are actually musically orientated. They've had live bands, Hip Hop artists, poets et all!

We spend so much money on luxuries and this wonderful hobby but can't spare just a tiny bit for a good and noble cause? Hopefully it's because you guys already give lots to other charities, and not instead because of apathy in general.
