Custom IEMs - Balanced or Single- ended

Hi All,

 

I am considering a pair of Unique Melody Miracle IEMs. For those that are using these or other custom IEMs is there a significant benefit in using a balanced cable even when the portable source is not balanced?

 

For the Miracles specifically, what are good after market balanced cables for these earphones. 

 

Incidentally I recently travelled with my Micro Stack and it is too bulky so looking for ultra portable aml and dac for these IEMs - any thoughts on a CLAS Solo and an SR71b or Pico Slim?

Hi James, comparing balanced and SE using the 801 with the balanced card is on my list of things to do, but I don't have an ETA at this time.
