^ Buying used isn't the best due to warranty issues.  However if I was to buy new I'm looking at $1350 + shipping + 13% (and exchange US -> CAD on the price and shipping) = ~1600 CAD, use it was less than 2/3 of that all said and done.

It's part of the human condition. In the audiophile world, people are in search of new and different interpretations of their music.

I'm looking for my next portable system. When I find it, I'm going to enjoy it for a while. I have no illusion that it will be my final system. And I don't see that as a problem. I've been using a Shure flagship IEM for 8 or 9 years now and I'm trying to go up from there.

I see. Well, the person I referred too in the For Sale section should not limit the 334 sale to the continental U.S.

Just an FYI. I'm from Canada as well. Ordering from Japan, the $1350 includes EMS shipping. We don't pay taxes or customs. So $1350 would be the final price.

He most likely doesn't want to deal with the expensive shipping prices entailed in foreign transactions. Not to mention the possibility of something going awfully wrong during shipping to such a destination doesn't inspire much confidence (the scum bags that lurk here like predators).

Heh, well that is lucky.  I was going by ALO's price and getting it up here.  I didn't buy for $1300, no worries ;)

In Japan, do Tg334! grow off of store shelves where the only fee is $1350 per fruit?

I have a new appreciation for my FitEar 334s. I used the small single flange tips from the Hifiman RE400 on the FitEar 334s and the sound improved significantly. Many pages back I complained that the FitEar 334s had harsh treble which lacked extension. The treble is completely fixed with the RE400 single flange tips. Treble extends further and becomes a lot smoother.

Edit: Ok, maybe I got a bit too excited. The improvement is there but its not that big. Treble still isn't as smooth and extended as the Hifiman RE400.

I had to pay $300 for the repair.

It was kind of my fault the shell broke. I put a 1/4" adapter into the pelican case which I stored my FitEars in. The pressure of the adapter caused the shell to break.

Well $300.00 is much better than paying another $1,300 :).
