go for it, it sounds like a winner from what i have read. I can promise you the housing does not impact the sound when it comes to Balance armature. They do not vibrate, the sound comes striaght out of the drivers to the nozzle and to your ears. Unless you just like the look the only purpose titnainum facing has is that it is lighter.

AnakChan said he heard otherwise though from the prototype unit of Suyama?

They probably rearranged the drivers a little, or they decided to reflect the sound on the back plate or something(which I doubt). For dynamic IEM it makes  difference obviously, I auditoned the CKM1000 and CKW1000 and in that brief time I noticed the difference instantly.

I cannot see any reason why back-plate material can have a sonic impact on BA drivers.

The sound on the left side of my 334s suddenly cut out today.

Good news: It's the cable, not the IEM, that's broken.

Bad news: The cable's broken.

Can't choose between a BTG cable or the ALO cable =\

Yikes. That is one expensive fix. Surprised that such a beefy looking cable can just give out like that

Stock cable or 3rd party cable that broke? Did it get caught on something?

Stock cable broke :\

I dunno; I've been winding them into my metal UE case so they might have conked out in there.

Any suggestions for a bigger case, anyone..?

Also, now I have to go for a few days without my 334s )=

I just received the 000 cable from Musica Acoustics and used yesterday for the first time........WOW!  Depth, great bottom end, and detail. Highly recommended.

I think the 000 5ruly shines with the 335s, I've heard some comments from friends that the 000 makes the 334's bass a bit bloated, but with the bass control of the 335's Double Woofer the sound is just PERFECT.

Also on another note, one of my friends (who is using my 334 right now) tried to plug my 335s in his ear and started crying when he found the perfect way to hold it so he could enjoy 60-70% of it. smily_headphones1.gif

The only similarity between 334 and W4 is forward mid.
