Great depth but lacked much of any width to its sound stage. Perhaps the 000  cable adds even more depth to the sound which seems to be soullinker's cup of tea ;).

Having owned the TG334 for many months, I don't think it sounds closed in at all.  Simply put, it sounds real.  Not wide, not closed in but simply real and proportionally accurate.

different views between me and cn11 rolleyes.gif

for me like I said, I find the ALO cable to be more upfront on everything and the 000 a bit more distant sounding..

the 334 sounds stellar when paired with a lisa3/clas though, making other iems sounding like a POS. no, really!

Apparently! But that's what listening is all about, and shows how different users have their own unique experiences with the same gear. Maybe your source and tips are helping the signature of the 000 cable excel, while not playing well with that somewhat more 'forward' sound of the ALO (as you hear it)...

I would say that the midrange and vocals become more up front with the ALO cable, but in addition to that, I get quite a bit more space on top of that.

That sounds quite nice. So does the sound stage get wider for you on the ALO cable? I also like to have upfront mids/vocals while having a large sound stage to compliment it :). Seems almost like an oxymoron but it is possible :).

How do you balance a cable? I think its different from putting two plugs and making it a cable to use with balanced source equipment, right?

So you are saying they scale very well. I though they sounded really good out of the Studio V but the hiss was an issue (actually on the Studio it wasn't so much in your head due to the Studio Vs wide and airy sound stage). I did get to try it for a few minutes out of my DX100 but mostly using the Studio V since the DX100 was getting some head-time from Sara ;).

That DX100 was mighty satisfied after my time with it very_evil_smiley.gif   deadhorse.gif

Ken/ALO did the balancing of the 000 for me. Not a very good pix of the 000 though.

there's no problem with the tips I'm using.. I use the largest stock tips, with the smaller ones, the I get smaller soundstage also so the largest ones give me the perfect fit

I agree with thisrolleyes.gif

I did have a lot of time last night to listen to them again.. the 000 cables have obviously more forward projection in my case and depth.. the ALO is good on pinpointing instruments (ala UM3x) while the 000 cable sounds more distant and coherent (W4) for me..

I have an ALO Rx MK3B amp and CLAS -dB setup myself. I was looking to pick these up for Christmas.

Anyone have any impressions with the fitear 334 with this setup?

My ideal sound signature would be close to what I find with the HE-500s.

Thanks!

The Heir 8As share a similarity to the HE500, Lawton Denon 5000 and LCD2. That may be a good option to consider. Not so sure about the Fit Ear resembling the HE500s though.

I'm staying away from customs since I had fit issues with the UM Miracles to a point where I just sold them. They really didn't scale that much with better portable setup.

Not really looking for another HE-500 but I would like to enjoy wide soundstage and clear mids when going out and isolates well so I don't bother those around me.

I'm still fairly new to the portable realm of things in general.
