I expect my previous recable from stock to Alo was somewhat tainted by fit.

Congrats! Qnd yes you'll see a big difference with the 000 cables...

Regarding fit, I would highly recommend the Ortofon tips. I tried all the stock tips that come with the FitEar and none of them perform as well as the Ortofons. Bass quantity, especially, was enhanced by the seal afforded by the Ortofons.

I hope to post my impressions soon. The transparency and detail retrieval from these are really something else. I have had the JH16s, Klipsch x5, and Shure SE530 and I think I prefer the ToGo 334! over all of those. At least for most genres.

The ortofon tips are bliss! I second you.

Just got in the 000 cable. I'm hearing it as not nearly as open and detailed sounding as the ALO. The difference up to the ALO is not subtle. It sounds more akin to the stock cable, being more closed-in and not as spacious as the SXC. At least this is how I'm hearing it.... I will do some A/B listening vs. the stock one later this evening.

I've been doing some A/B'ing between the stock, 000, and ALO SXC cables tonight. I confirmed what I thought about the 000 on my first listen. I find there to be virtually no difference sonically between it and the stock cable. Perhaps, just maybe, a touch more bass depth, but that's about all I was able to distinguish. The ALO is still noticeably more open and spacious, and improves upon the Fitears layering over both the other cables. I easily hear the differences as obvious without any effort, unlike how I was straining to hear anything between the stock and 000. Not thrilled at the sonic performance per dollar ratio of the 000 to say the least.

I have one other cable coming sometime around the end of the year. A copper cable by BTG Audio, sleeved in black. I'll be curious to hear how that one stacks up since it's quite affordable.

Thank you for the honest comparison...I have been looking for better and more flexible cable for the MH334 and I am stil waiting for Tralucent's release of their cables for the MH334. I hope BTG audio's cable are much better than the stock interms of flexibilty. I still cant use the MH334 frequently with the stock cables when im on the go.

No problem. Yeah, a more supple cable would be great. If you're looking to stay away from anything stiffer than the stock one, then steer well clear of bot.! They're each stiffer than the stock one. But the ALO I'm willing to put up with for daily use at work because of the sound improvements....

I'm curious then when you mean more open in the sound stage do you mean a wider sound stage? That is one big issue I had with the 334 was the closed in sound. Great depth but lacked much of any width to its sound stage. Perhaps the 000  cable adds even more depth to the sound which seems to be soullinker's cup of tea ;).

My experience with the 000 isn't as bad as cn11's but at the same time I had mine balanced. I'd agree with soullinker20's view of the 000 cables but having said that I never got a chance to try Ken's cables. Is the 000 worth the retail price? Nope...lucky I got mine at a show/event discount.

Would be interesting if you could give the ALO cable a shot then :). Since there are 2 very conflicting views here.

am i the only one who has the impression of the 334 sounding like a 100-200usd iem when used straight from a dap that is not a dx100? lol

the 334 sounds stellar when paired with a lisa3/clas though, making other iems sounding like a POS. no, really!

So you are saying they scale very well. I though they sounded really good out of the Studio V but the hiss was an issue (actually on the Studio it wasn't so much in your head due to the Studio Vs wide and airy sound stage). I did get to try it for a few minutes out of my DX100 but mostly using the Studio V since the DX100 was getting some head-time from Sara ;).
