I find the depth and spaciousness of the TG334 to be better than any other universal I've heard and to rival, if not better, the customs I've owned.  However they are not airy sounding like a Sony EX1000.  I've never heard the 335 but perhaps it's just even better in this regard.

I used it with my iphone 4s, and the hiss is still there but very little.
Are you using the original cable?
Yes original cable.

I am going to not comment about hiss ever again and limit any of my opinions from now on to "what I am hearing is ......... "
Duh, I have tinnitus I hear hissing all the time even in dead
silence. Sorry it just dawned on me.

Still love my 334s. Listening right now out of my iPhone
to recently re-ripped into ALAC music and I cannot believe
how good it sounds, to my ears that is tongue.gif

Could you please report back your results once you've tried the resistor? I'm getting major hissing issues on all my sources too.

thanks for the reply...so its a mid centric iem with very good bass texture and fast response? Does it have the same meaty sound and euphoric 3d soundstage?.

It's quite meaty I'd say. A decent sound stage and very filling ;). I wouldn't say the mids are more prominent than bass or treble. Pretty well balanced between the 3 yet there is plenty of quantity across the board.
