really? I hear hiss on ipod, very obviously. U really sure you don't have any?

I used it with my iphone 4s, and the hiss is still there but very little.

Are you using the original cable?

I actually bought an ohm adaptor form eBay to solve the hiss issue. It's adds 75ohm to counter the hiss with my iPod and s3. Not sure how it will change the sound or will it even work.. Just pray that it won't explode..

Indeed. Years ago I had my Stepdance adjusted by Jan from Low Gain of +6dB to unity gain (0 dB). That was what was needed. He then adopted unity gain (0dB) as the default low gain setting for both the 2Stepdance and Quickstep.

I listen very softly (sometimes) and It is never too loud. I cannot listen to amps with analog volume controls. With the ES5, they are too loud. The same would be true with the TG334 which is about as sensitive.

I actually found the 334 to be more sensitive than my ES5...

Yeap, selling k3003 cause the seal is not as good.. and bass not as powerful as tg334. It does have a lot of treble energy, almost on par with th900 which I love.. But the bass qty is lacking, and I love bass as much as I love treble. Just hoping for a phone that has the k3003 treble sparkle and bass level similar as tg334. I can dream for now.. Super extended in both ends .. Like the th900. Superb bass texture and powerful enough to match LCD-3 level and sparkle so clear, u could literally feel Diana Krall's breath in your ears...

That's the iem I want..tongue.gif

I would say try the Sony ex1000. The only thing I don't like about sony's is that they don't isolate very well and the vocal is a bit thin and I like thick sounding. Sony's bass is better than 334, deeper, punchier, more air, well, it's dynamic after all.

Really? I found it to have one of the most expansive soundstages among all the IEMs I've tried. Which IEMs do you not find claustrophobic?

It is pretty spacious but I can't say it has a large sound stage. It is rather condensed IMO as well (lets just say it doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a full size headphone while other IEMs do). Not saying muddy but the sound is very compact. My Tralucents are noticeably more spacious yet still have a nice thickness to the sound.

Well, I think the way I'd describe the 334 is that it has an accurate and realistic-sounding soundstage. I don't think it particularly enhances or deprecates the sound field recorded in music.

Since they are in-ears, vocals will always certainly sound quite forward. The only in-ears that I've seen that have soundstages that extend well beyond normal expectations come from dynamic driver in-ears. They have an ability to pull back sound to the extent that vocals sound laid back, but still far in front of all the other music. The EX1000, IE8/80 come to mind, as well as others. I believe it has to do with the amount of air a driver is able to push through the ear canal, but that's just a guess.

I do need to try at least one of those.

They also gave me pretty good isolation for a universal fit. However I am longing for an IEM that gives me scary isolation for home usage. My uncle and Aunty are completely deaf and blast their crap music all day..... It's loud enough where it could be damaging my own hearing and I'm quite a ways from the living room..........
