Well if you can try and spend more time with it and maybe with material you are use to. Can you use your own sources to drive them? Personally I still very much enjoyed the IEM. I am a fan of bass-heavy IEMs myself. But that is not everyone's cup of tea either lol. Especially if you are coming from the JH13 which are more so neutral IEMs I think it would be quite different for you. Although different is a good thing IMO. Better than having a side grade :).

Hmm i see your point. As with regards to the my sources, they are more than capable of driving the 334. But yes i agree i definately have to audition it for a longer period of time and then maybe i will be intoxicated by it, and there goes the wallet bye bye $$$

I have a chance to try MH335DW, 1plus2, and Monet yesterday in Tokyo. MH335DW is indeed improved from 334 especially on the low end. I have to admit that 1plus2 is very impressive in both low and high region. Monet is something that I want to try for a long time but I a little bit disappoint after trying it.

Monet is the newest CIEM from Fitear. It's tuned for "Anime song" (claimed by Suyama san). The configuration is also 334 (3 ways 3 units 4 drivers) but arrange differently from MH334. Low and Mid are 1 unit with 2 driver. There are High 1 and High 2 with 1 driver for each.

Indeed. Apparently Suyama-san likes anime songs lol. But to be more specific, Monet is supposedly intended to provide extra high-energy, sparkly and detailed highs and forward female vocals (perfect for maniacs/otakus/anime freaks/vocaloid fans I suppose?) as hinted by the driver arrangement.

And based on my short demo session, it does deliver what it is intended to do, lol.

The feeling that I got after trying Monet is "Wow this thing is so sparkling" but I still prefer my TG334 than Monet. The main reason is that it loose a lot of details at low and mid. It sound a lot darker compare to my TG334.

Yea, I can see where you are coming from, I personally dislike Monet myself. But I'm surprised you think Monet is darker than TG334, I think figuratively speaking Monet is as bright and sparkly as morning sun. It does a bit of details at low and mid. But then again, most of the details in your typical Vocaloid or Geeky anime tracks are in the upper-mids and highs....Right? So theoretically it should fit jpop/anime songs well. I'm not sure though, I have an aversion to those kind of otaku music stuff so I might be wrong.

It's a matter of personal preference I suppose, I know people who loves the sound sig of Monet~

Shouldn't that be the other way round?

I know a guy who's also into Jpop and anime OSTs and he loves the Monet so much that it can even rival his JH13 for that range of music lol.

Personally I found the TG334 has too much bass for anime OST as well. Jpop generally focuses more in the upper spectrum compared to other countries' pop.

Sounds like the Monet is sort of built for one genre and only one genre of music but does it beautifully. Seems like the monet is out.

Yeah, I know. It should be the other way but with the type of music that I listen, it make Monet sound darker overall.
