The 334's are so good that no one has time to post in the thread. The induced music psychedelia makes it hard to do anything but drool and listen.ksc75smile.gif

(btw: how do you know the stage floor is level? the drummer drools evenly from both sides of the mouth...)

Hello all,

 

I am trying to decide between the following to replace my lost JH16s and I'd be grateful for your opinions:

 

TG334

 

JH13

 

JH3A

 

My favorite sound signature ever is Grado SR60i, with the vent holes and quarter hole mods.

 

Any audiophiles out there who could offer a comparison or a recommendation?

I do not have jh 13 and jh 3 a , i have jh 16 pro like You .
If You like The Sound zig from jh 16 pro , i Am sure You like fit ear 334 to Go .
Fit ear 334 to Go has Better clarity and separation than My jh 16 pro .
Bass impact almost The same , file ear more Deep and detail bass

How would you know what he's hearing? Perhaps he's found the ideal tips for the TG!334 and is actually getting the results described. Likewise, I don't doubt at all for one reason or another you're hearing your set of JH13's as clearer...

Here's my take on my JH16 to the TG334s. I got this yesterday and I am using my J3 and DX100 as dap. On normal case I use eq on my jh16 to make it sound more mid-forward, but still the midrange is thin for me, coming from SM3, W4 or EX1000. So when I had the Fitears, I'm glad that I don't need to EQ them anymore. The sound from TG334s is meatier and creamier compared to the JH16s. Although in the expense of faster note decay, TG334 tend to be more musical and detailed At the same time. It doesn't bring the detail forward like the DBA02s but it is all in the layers and with pin-point accuracy. Athough the JH16 is no slouch at this area but IMO the TG334 has more resolution.

 

I am enjoying the TG334s with all the genres only less on electronic or trance music. The TG334 doesnt have the fast and clean response of the JH16, so that its more musical in a way that it retain its notes much longer and does not present analytical.

 

As of now that is my only comparison.

Do you think this is due to the 334s bass? The bass is quite thick and may be contributing to that musicality you speak of (lingering notes).
