Well, it was certainly wide enough and height was good but I found it to have lacked depth and air, hence the feeling of it sounding closed in. Like I said, I will give the 334, the benefit of doubt and blame it on the cable as the 335 sounded just fine and realistic in all axis.

What cable you listened with 335s? I have both 334tg and 335dw, however got opposite impression. Would be great to have a little bit more from my 335s

Wait, is there any post in which you compare the 335DW and the TG!334?

Not yet, just got my 335s two weeks ago, and I found 335s are significantly more in need of a bit of "burn-in" time. Planned to write up something after spending some quality time with both but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to spit it out now as I left my 334s on the plane back from vacation!!!

Jeee... still can not believe how stupid I am!!!

They were both stock cables I would imagine, I will double check with the shop tomorrow......but to me the 334 sounded closed in, really just lacking in depth and airiness compared to the 335. I would think both the 334 and 335 would benefit greatly from a good high purity silver cable.

Hmmm.... strange, coz the cable of 335s looks identical to that of 334s, I thought they are the same things and so did the dealer say.

Yeah, I know. Hope the lucky guy/lady who picked them up is capable of appreciating the music that the 334s reproduce.

I can't believe how depressing the thought of losing the TG!334's like that is! I feel for ya.

Interested to know what source you are using to drive your 334 and 335? Thanks. I found them both fairly hard to drive.......

Sorry to hear about your 334

Wow, it's getting even more interesting, how come we have such different views on them? lol

90% of time they are plugged into my iPhone 4S/ new ipad and 10% of time into iBasso DX100.

They sound great even with my iPhone 4S, actually to me they are one of the easiest to drive among all the IEMs I've ever used/tried.

I 2nd that they are easy to drive, very easy in fact. Right this minute I am A/Bing between iPod > Fostex HP-P1 vs DX100 (Beastie Boys are on LOL)
to decide which to keep.
And in the last few days when the planes were taking off and landing couldn't use the iPod/HP so I was sneaky and ran 334s out of my iPhone

and they did sound good but of course, no where as good as with the other two.
Same songs, same rip exactly by the same computer under same conditions.

And, OMG, I decided to listen with my Miracles and 334s.....and I may have to reverse my previous thinking that the Miracles are better.
But, cannot really pay attention to that right now, I've got two days to decide which player/method of delivery to use to get the 'goods' to my excellent IEMs.

Last month before the 334s and Miracles were delivered, I bought a pair of Westone UM3X to take on my vacation. Used them on the planes out and back, a total of
30 hours. I figured I could use them as back up and besides got an excellent deal on them. After returning home, and packing for another trip, yup....left on them on the last plane. I did not realize it till 3 weeks later because I came home to the UMs AND the FT!.... I tell myself that 3 plane changes and a total of 28 hours traveling its not a hard error to make. I filed a lost report  hahahaha, you know the answer already....I still feel like an idiot never the less
I feel your pain.

The stock small tips have the best comfort and is what I use most of the time. However, the included biflange tips have the best seal which translates to better sound and stay in my ear better at the cost of comfort.
