Why would it be that, if it's my wife? I will get to use them whenever I like?! My daughters uses my W4s and the SE535s? I don't see any problems whatsoever. Aesthetics are a personal thing, and you can dislike the look of the Fit Ears, no problems whatsoever, but to insinuate that the AKG doesn't have Hello Kitty logo so isn't feminine is ....hmmm questionable to say the least

I think the hearing-aid look is just another type of aesthetic; the TOGO334 simply extends the aesthetics of the FitEar brand --- it wouldn't look quite right if FitEar came out with a K3003-type housing for its TOGO line.

Rather than attempting a new design --and not necessarily one like the K3003--, I think the TO GO 334 design has more to do with having to place 4 drivers in each housing, a detachable cable (these are meant to be worn with the cable over the ear), and the fact FitEars specialise in custom IEMs, ie they've been working with a very similar design for a long time.

K3003 with laser-etched Hello Kitty design?! I'm sold! But the K3003 won't look good in pink, seriously. 

Actually looking like a hearing aid could be a plus. Because you could trick people into thinking you have hearing problems ;), which we probably will in a few years time anyway.

Wow, I would like to add that I really find this quite humourous actually. I just criticized the aesthetics, what will happen if I started making negative comments about the sonics?

All the more humourous, the fact that I bought the AKG K3003 without seeing them, without handling them, without auditioning them on the back of the glowing review by you and James444. And also the fact that the actual purchase was motivated by the "Thread" started by your good self, music_4321.

FWIW, I don't think music's comment should be taken personally. When he said it was "a shame and missed opportunity," I believe he was referring to AKG, not to your giving them to someone else. He was saying AKG missed an opportunity to make them less feminine by not making them pink. In other words, it's a sarcastic way of disagreeing with your assessment that they're feminine looking. It's nothing personal.

Also I can't speak for music, but I personally would be a bit horrified if someone bought a $1500 USD IEM based on one of my reviews without even having seen---let alone heard---it first. That kind of thing makes me really uncomfortable.

I'd like to think that in actual fact spkrs01's decision to get the K3003s did not only --or even mostly-- come from my impressions and james444's, but also from all other impressions and reviews I linked to in the thread spkrs01 made a reference to.

"Horrified" is not the word I'd use in my case, but I'd definitely have a rather strong sense of responsibility if I knew someone was making a decision based solely on my views -- in most, if not all, cases I'd very likely try to dissuade them, or (as was the case with another HF'er recently) suggest they look for (and/or wait for) further impressions and reviews by more people.

I have never heard any of the Universals that I have bought and rarely have seen them beforehand besides pictures. The W4, the SE535ltd, the Aurisonics coming and the AKGK3003. Probably the same will happen with these Fit Ears. I put an order for a 10 driver CIEM last weekend, haven't heard and haven't seen them, on the back of listening to his other creation a hybrid CIEM which uses a dynamic for bass and a single BA for the mid and highs. I listened for 2 minutes liked it, bought them and am having them made up as Universal CIEMs. I am in possession of the Demos now whilst waiting for mine.

I do think that is the purpose of Head Fi, letting one get a sense of a product without having to try? Whether I approach it with naivety is debatable, but I am still a person that trusts and believe in people. Perhaps my bad!

Anyway back to these FitEar To Go MH334, are they actually released now in Japan, Tomscy2000? If so, I will chase the store to follow up the next few days!
