Need moar louder. Plz help!

Currently using:   iphone 4 > lod cable > fiio e7 > ultrasone pro 900

Issue:   need moar louder. I mean, maxed out it's fairly loud with awesome SQ. I like how the e7 has a bass eq. It helps a lot (currently set to 2. range is 0-3). However... these scream authority. I should have the option to turn these bad boys up to deafening levels and even higher if I so pleased. Help me go deaf. What parts of my system can be improved? and in what ways? Thx for reading.

Heya,

 

Change your source.

Get a more powerful amplifier.

EQ all bands in frequency up by 5db.

Dude you're EQ-ing to get more volume? Thats awful!

 

Sell the E7 (I dunno if you've been using it as a DAC) but it's time for you to get a NuForce uDAC2 for those.

 

A Pico by Headamp is also a good choice.

 

Do you need to use it portably? I might be time to consider a desktop setup for those dude.

Then, I recommend buying a 15 inch powered subwoofer and putting your ear right next to its reflex port.

I make fun of teenage listeners right from the comfort of my main account haha...

 

I dunno maybe his sense of humor is a bit off...

 

Dude you can afford an iphone, buy a better amp please!

The E7 should get pretty friggen loud, especially with a LOD cable... I use my Senn HD-25-1-ii with the iPhone and E7 attatched with a LOD and to top it off, I have a 150ohm resistor as well... I use it at about lvl 20 and that's with the resistor... With a Pro 900, lvl 20 and above should be deafening...

Well, some people are actually deaf, and they need >100db. Other people try to conduct experiments with their headphones; not necessarily putting them on. 

I suppose you'd need a stronger amp. Hook it up to a speaker amp popcorn.gif

ahhh....maybe you should get your hearing check maybe? you might be in the process of needing a hearing aid in the near future. just trying to help you out op. don't mean to sound ignorant. if you still insist on more volume your obviously gonna need a more powerful amp.
