Hello,
Here I am again asking for suggestions...
I'd be willing to spend around 100-130 $/£/€ for a pair of low-impedance headphones that will work straight out of an iPod
Here are my experiences with higher-end headphones in brief, to give you some suggestion criterias:
GOOD
I currently own and love my HD650 for they fast response overall and for their mid-bass-oriented soundstage reconstruction
GOOD
I tested the Sony MDR-7506 with my Lovely Cube and I just loved them because of their fast fast response and that little emphasis on the mids, but they are too expensive. Plus, I don't know if they'll work like that out of an iPod
NEUTRAL
I tested the k701 with a couple of pro amps and I didn't mind them, great stage but I would prefer something just a little more dark
BAD
I previously owned and did NOT like at all the M-50, because I found their mids slow and colored, and a total lack in the highs also.
BAD
I tested the DT-990 with my Lovely Cube and didn't like them, because I found them way too bright and too slow in the mid-basses.
THIS is all IMHO. I don't want to start a discussion on the headphones I've just mentioned, I'm just telling you what I've been hearing, in order to help you in giving me the best suggestion possible.
Always been loving you guys
----
P.S. I listen to 30% folk&blues, 30% Pop&Rock and 40% classical.
Thank you very much.
