They can usually be found for around 200usd used- like new open boxes on electronics expo.  I got mine for 190.

I've looked at electronics expo, but they're always out of stock.

Buy.com has D2000's for $279 shipped right now.

 

Use that and call up J&R for a reduced price quote, then buy.

Yea, best bet is to call in the JR's. That's what I did and it was no problem. I think Ty@ ext 110 was mentioned earlier

Sometimes you can find Denons for cheap on ebay ($200 range) but you have to be careful though. Good hunting!
