Yeah, uh, seriously man just stick with buying secondhand from Head-Fi members. They're more likely to have taken good care of it, ask for a reasonable price, and not be a scam.

At the end of the day, it's still buyer beware.

Chances are they were real. All of the seller's old feedback was positive, and the headphones sold for over $200.
