Sennheiser 800 with Matrix-M amp?

Has anyone heard this combination? I am considering this as my "final" headphone system..at least for the foreseeable future..I listen to a lot of acoustic jazz and classical music...I am a retired musician and have a good working knowledge of what live music sounds like. It is my goal to get as close to that experience as possible...and realize that recordings have many limitations of their own, apart from the equipment we may use at home to listen on.

Please be specific if you have heard this combination or not.

I have ordered the Audeze LCD2...will it work well with a Matrix-M headphone amp?

It should. The LCD-2 isn't very picky about amplification, but scales extremely well with high end gear.

Hi mate.. HD800 + M-stage was my setup for more than 6 months and it was wonderful. I never thought that i needed an upgrade.  The M-stage to me is less agressive in the highs and this is noticed especially when you increase the volume. It controls the highs beautifully and i found that it is a very good match with any bright headphones. Hope it helps.
