Best Headset For Hardcore Gaming ?

Hey everyone,

 

I am an hardcore gamer usually my sessions are minimum 3hours & maximum 8 hours

i play mostly counter strike 1.6

 

First of all i would like to know does the 7.1 or 2.2 or 5.1 headset helps in FPS games ?

Could their performance be compared to Audio technica's AD700 Or Sennheiser PC360's

 

I have decided to buy an razer orca for my mp3 & all.

but i am unable to decide for my PC gaming..I Have These in mind

siberia neckband

siberia v2

audio technica's ad700

razer carcharias

 

And i am also considering The new razer Tiamat 7.1 & 2.2

whats the difference between REAL 7.1 And virtual 7.1 ..does it make a minor

difference or a major one ?

I am a gamer who prefers style so even the headset is uncomfortable till it looks good its mine...pls help !

There are like 3459378453 threads about this, do some searching. Everyone will agree here that gaming headsets (except the new Senns for the most part) and real 7.1 is a gimmick. Get an AD700 or PC360's of those choices.

Sennheiser HD558 (open, 50-Ohm).

Asus Xonar DG (PCI) sound card.

Good for music, gaming and movies.
