Best bass headphones for under 150

Thread Starter

hello. I am in the market for a new pair of headphones that have a lot of bass. I currently have a pair of Sennhesier HD280 pros. Ive had them for about 7 months. I like them, but I need more bass. I thank you in advance.

There are lots of threads about this here. But here are a few sugguestions...

1. AT m50's.

2. Denon d2000 (more money but a step up across the soundstage, can be had for $210 shipped from JR's)

3. There are a couple of pair of Sony's that are a lot less money but you would like the bass.  Also you would enjoy them for a while then want something better and buy either #1 or #2 from the above list.

Save yourself the time and trouble and just buy #2...L3000.gif

the sony model with lots of bass is this one...

Sony MDR XB1000

The XB-700 has more bass, and is cheap, and runs nicely without an amp--I think it would be hard to do better than that in your price range.

You could also check out the Ultrasones in that range (HFI-580).

M-Audio Q40 has a lot of bass and an otherwise neutral sound signature.

This, probably a good replacement for HD 280 pro. Costs $120 on Amazon.com or BHphoto.
