Worth it?

Hi
I have a mav d1 which has a tube pre out. I am considering a yaqin cd2 or something similar. Would a tube buffer be worth it sonically or would it be the equal to the tube out on my mav?

I'll probably get some heat from the Maverick users for posting negatively about a Maverick product again.  I avoided posting when I first saw your thread as to avoid the heat again.  I was hoping someone else would chime in first.  But, alas, I'll give my impressions so you can at least collect some opinions.

I had the D1.  It was a huge disappointment for a variety of reasons.  But, if you're asking about the tube stage, I found that my D1 tube stage had absolutely no effect on the sound when driving my stereo receiver.  None.  The Yaqin buffer, on the other hand, has been spoken well of around here and does have noticeable effect.

Thanks for the response. I would agree about the tube stage. It has made a difference on some vinyl for me but rarely. Thats kinda why i ask because i dont want a another product that makes a small difference.
