I need some headphones for games with alittle bit of TV and movies thrown in. I will not be listening to any music with them. I was going to get the SR850, but not being fully closed still bothered me. So I found the Superlux HD-662F / CAD MH310 and the HD-669. Has anyone used them before and how are they? Also with the SR850 do you think my wife can hear me gaming at night while she sleeps right beside me and would they wake up an infant sleeping right beside me (infants wake up enough without my help). If not then I don't need to consider the closed ones assuming the SR850's are better than the closed ones. I have a Xonar DG for the headphone amp and Dolby headphone (for positioning in games). Why do the SR850 and HD668b have different ohms if they are the same headphones/drivers? With the headphone amp in my sound card, would one be better than the other? Or does it just not matter that much?

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

Heya,
If you're worried about leaking, you simply will have to go closed-back. It's that simple. The drivers are the same on the models, but the cable can have a resistance difference and typically do. I have a 75ohm cable for example just to be able to adapt a powerful amp to a more sensitive headphone. Anyways...
The DG is more than enough for any of those headphones, it can handle up to 150ohms without an issue. All of those headphones are well under that. It won't matter which you choose in this regard.
Get the one that is the most comfortable and the most isolating. That simple.
Very best,
Where is good place to buy the HD-669 in the US. I cannot seem to find it online. How do the HD-669 and HD-662 compare? I like the fact that the HD-669 has a detachable cable and comes with a short one.
