Need help choosing between SoundMAGIC E10 & Brainwavz M2

I need some peoples opinions on choosing between the SoundMAGIC E10 & Brainwavz M2.

I've read several reviews here on both, they seem like high contenders for my needs. I'm a big fan of dubstep, trance, and electronic music also hip hop. I require a lot of bass, and while I don't consider myself a bass head I may be end up becoming a new born. I also want to keep the mid and high as clean as possible keeping in mind that's it's never only about bass. I don't want to spend over $100 hoping to keep that mark down around $50 - $80 The headphones I'm currently using are Sennheiser CX 300ii so I'm looking for something that will compare close to it's sound signature or better of the two mentioned. Also if anyone has another headphone they would like to mention please do so. I'm open to all opinions however looking mostly between the two mentioned above.

The equipment I'm currently using: Ipod 2g touch with the Equalizer app, a Fiio L1 LOD & Fiio E5 amp, (until my E11 arrives very soon) I also use an ipod Nano 1g with Rockbox installed switching between the two players depending where I am.

Overall I want to choose the best quality headphone of the two for my needs but cannot make my mind up without some peoples opinions. Hopefully people who have used both products can give some guidance.. Should I buy the E10 or spend the extra $25 on the M2's? I guess I'm confused which one will give me what I'm looking for also if it's needed to spend that extra money on the M2's.

I think the M2's are a worthy upgrade over the E10's (though they sound a bit different, think they've got better bass control). I guess you could throw in NuForce NE-700's ($65) or possibly MEElectronics SP51's but I think you're pretty much set with M2's.

M2's were my original choice, I've over exhausted myself reading the past few days becoming slightly confused. I've read briefly about the others headphones you mentioned but still can't get those M2's out of my mind.

Yeah they're really good so I suggest buying them before you start getting second thoughts... again. (are they third thoughts then? lol)

No third thoughts yet regular_smile%20.gif. Lets hope we don't reach extreme velocity into the unknown. tongue_smile.gif I''ll make the M2 purchase early next week, however I'm always open to peoples opinions between the two. But it's safe to say M2's are the 'chosen ones'

Thanks for your help!

I've owned both and kept the E10. The M2 is more refined and presents fine detail a bit better and is also a little nicer in the build department, especially the cable. However I enjoy the overall presentation of the E10 more from a holistic approach. It feels like it hits a bit deeper and has a good bit more sparkle.  Not sure if it matters but Soundmagic is supposed to release a microphone version for $5 at the end of the month.

So while the M2 is possibly a slight step up, I find the E10 a better bang for buck.
