There was a lot of white noise. I haven't used a blue snowball, but try turning down the gain and moving in a close as you can get, also, go download a real DAW http://www.reaper.fm/ (google "ReaGate" it's the included noise filter)  

To be more serious without spending a whole ton of money you should get yourself a decent solid state digital recorder.  With one you won't have to worry about computer noise because you can record with the PC off, or just go into the other room (bathrooms usually have ok acoustics)   then move back to the DAW to finish up.  I recommend  Samson's Zoom products http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/r8

Bathrooms have one of the worst acoustics - Ceramic, wall, mirror (glass), window (glass) and lots of metal. A good acoustic space have sound absorbant materials such as carpet, acoustic tiles and even your bed. Avoid glass - it reflects sound instead of absorbing them, or hard surfaces.

I don't know if your thinking of maybe public restrooms, but most home bathrooms are small rooms with sheetrock walls, one chair (the throne), a big curtain, stacks of towels, and absurdly fluffy carpets (bath mats) and very little else.  Have you tried recording in the different rooms in your house? because it sounds like you haven't, and you are just imagining that you have, kitchens are the worst, attics are probably the best, but mine is very uncomfortable, and quite cold this time of year.

It does have a bit of noise in it but other than that, I find myself wanting to hear where it goes. Oh, and if you have a walk in closet they work well for grabbing extra noise (carpet, clothes, usually no glass).
