Noise Cancelling Headphones for Sleeping

Hello everyone,

 

Im new to this forum. Just thought id stop in since you guys seem to know about headphones.

 

Im going on a 3 month trip to Europe and will be sleeping in hostels. I am afraid of earbuds and not a fan of putting small things in my ears.

 

I want a pair of noise cancelling headphones that will do me well for sleeping in. I know its a bit weird since people sleep on their sides sometimes and it might not be the best for sleeping. Although if anyone could recommend or suggest a pair of cheap lightweight noise cancelling headphones that might be somewhat durable for sleeping in that would be great.

 

Another option was lightweight earmuffs like that people use for shooting guns. It wouldnt play music but are these more durable?

I'm really not sure what to say. We don't tend to like Active Noise Cancelling headphones around here.
