Hello all,
I made this thread to hopefully get some specific suggestions on headphones that fit with my wishes.
I am looking for the following:
- Something that can be used for mixing purposes, but also for genuine listening purposes.
- I listen to Hiphop, R&B, Soul and Dance the most of the time.
- I do not want it to be too heavy on any of the frequencies, as I'd like to use it for mixing/producing purposes. However, seeing the genres a good solid bass would be nice
- Prefer a closed over-ear (!) headphone, but I heard a closed can get weary on the ears, correct? I do value comfort since I need to be able to wear it for multiple hours.
- Pref that the sound is good without an amp being necessary.
- Most likely I am going to plug it in the amp of my AR 4xa speakers, which is a Yamaha R300. Does this affect the quality much ?
- Price range: 100-130 with a max of 150 if that means a significant change in quality.
I've seen the M50's and the D1000's being mentioned a lot, but I can't seem to find the D1000's online.
Im open for ANY suggestions regarding this situation though, so please consider.
