Wtf how bad is the bleeding? Surely not as bad as open backs like HD800? Bleed on HD800 is terrible, much more so than the LCD3...

Not THAT bad indeed, better isolation than LCD3 that I tested A/B with the TH900 before buying the TH900.  But still not appropriate when your wife is trying to hear the TV or to sleep... :-)

I love my TH900 so I will be interested to know if the 1P2 is in the same league and same sound signature.

What cable did you ordered ?  the UBER ..... biggrin.gif

I wish. This is the demo unit equipped with the gold silver cable...

On the other hand.... If anyone wants to trade their 1P2 for my TH900 ....
I'm always open for IEMS biggrin.gif

Re the TH900, is it a close headphone, BUT IT LEAKS SOUNDS.  IN and OUT.  Not as much as a grado... but still...

This is why I am investigating 1P2, JH13 or... Edition8/SigPRO

Actually I'll have to disagree here...I find the TH-900s are pretty good (and better than the W3000ANV and Ed.8s) for not leaking sound. Isolation-wise, they're just ok though.

Quick question (can't find the answer despite searching for a long time)

Is this fostex cable similar to the denon d2/5/7k one in that it tangles and twists up over time??

I had issues with both of my (now sold) D7000s, but I've had my TH-900s since January and I've never had an issue.

No I'm using some chord rca interconnects straight into the bakoon - few brief observations. The sound stage has opened up compared to my Leben CS300xs and Grace M903. The TH900 is not too far from HD800 in terms of over all sound stage. Detail retreval is much improved, timing, imagining and dynamics also improved. I would also say the mids are certainly not recessed compared with other h/p amps I have tried. The bass is very nicely controlled with no loss of excitement. Treble very smooth an extended. I would say in terms of excitement/enjoyment factor this combo would be favourably comparable to the Zana Deux. The Bakoon I have been informed will take around 100 hours to burn in.

Wow your TH900 leak less sound than your Ed 8s mine are complete opposite ed 8s isolate extremely well and leak very little sound. The TH900 I would agree are an improvement in every other area on the ed 8 except for portability.
