I have sold my LCD-3's, as their sound is in between the TH900 and HD800 for me. I actually had

them before the HD800's, and used them for what I am using the TH900 for now. But I like the

TH900 more than the LCD-3's. I never thought I would ever say that! But after careful comparisons

including other variables like weight and long session comfort, for me the TH900 is the better

solution.

I run everything through my Royal equipped WA5LE, and couldn't be happier! I've been at this

for years now, and I finally have reached a point where my listening sessions transport me

to another place, or dimension, where I can escape the world for a while! When I take off my

phones it's like coming out of a trance or something.

Just crazy goodness!

Nicely put ...... Enjoy beerchug.gif

I did the same thing after a prolong experience with both LCD3 and Th900. I like the tonal quality of TH900 more than LCD-3. LCd-3 is very good for what it is, but me being a little treble head, I love the extra air of the Th900. To me, LCD-3 is more of a better version of HD650 while Th900 is more of the Stax 009 approach with a hint of stronger lower bass presence.

I also listen to low volume, I find that the TH900 excel more in this area than LCD-3. Phones with better treble extension normally does well with low volume. Also the weight and hard clamp force of the LCD-3 cause a poor blood circulation, ear becomes a little numb after 1 hr session with LCD-3. I think this is just me.

In the end I kept the TH900 and sold the LCD-3.

i find LCD-2 to be pretty different from TH-900 and HD 800, so LCD-3 will be a nice upgrade.

keeping T1 and HE-500

Like your style. That's quite a collection you're building.

You know the issue with the HE-6 (Flagship) is the associated amp that's needed..

Big +1 on that lol tongue_smile.gif

yes thats why i'm saving that one for last. i'm still looking to buy another amp for my other headphones (WA22 and Zana Deux is the plan as of now, might keep WA2).

before HE-6, i'll either rebuy a grado RS1i (cheapest option), or go for the PS1000s
