I'm currently waiting for a set to show up in the B&S section and might give it a shot. My experience thus far is that the HD800s really lack bass, which is a little disappointing when listening to some of classical pieces like the 1812. Haven't tried the LCD-3s but have heard good things about them - how do they compare with the TH900s?

One issue with the TH-900s vs the HD800s is that the TH-900s sound fantastic out of pretty much anything. Heck I loved them out of my (now sold) HeadAmp Pico portable amp. But the HD800s are a very difficult beast to tame. It wasn't until I heard them on a B22 or a WA2 that I really heard what they were about. Then I moved up to the WA22, Liquid Fire and now my GS-X and the HD800s scaled further to higher levels.

I do think the GS-X is the best one.

Sorry, but I wasn't a fan of the BHA-1 when I heard it.

+1 The BHA-1 was a pretty good amp when I owned it.  However, I sold it because my B22 and GS-1 beat it out.

And as great as the GS-1 was, it kicked up a few notches with the GS-X. smily_headphones1.gif

The b22 is DIY. You have to build it or commission someone to build it.

And how much are the parts all together for the b22?

Some brief impressions of the TH600 versus the TH900 (and D7000):

Obviously those are very preliminary, so take them with a grain of salt.

Enter SAVE50 coupon code and free UPS Ground shipping to get $50 off the MSRP. Not a bad deal. Anyone find it cheaper elsewhere?
