that explains a lot. wink.gif glad you're enjoying it anyways.

Well at least you are getting some solid results from somewhere :D

Regardless.....good to see you are enjoying them.

I've actually had a chance to listen to quite a few Th900's and work on all of them. :P

I've always been a fan of the Denon D5k's and 7k's. Made me sad to see them go, but the Th900's have definitely taken the hole they left. I've actually been able to enjoy them a lot on a JDS labs C412 as the drivers are pretty efficient. Definitely want a pair of Th900's down the road, but having them come in and out of the shop is very nice as well.

Surprisingly, I do find the stock cable to be pretty nice feeling. I remember the Denon's left a little to be desired with how stiff the cable would get, but Fostex got it right. I have a lot of people asking for the stock cable back repurposed as an Audeze LCD-2 cable or something. Or just for their own playing around with. I don't blame them!

I also was able to pick out the differences from FLAC off Foobar and Spotify. Very accurate and sometimes unforgiving highs and mids. I do agree though the bass is a bit much sometimes. Might play around with that when I get a my own pair.

TH900's respond well to amping. I also had Asgard 2 with mine and while it sounded very fine, it was also a bit dull. Bakoon amp really brought them to life, it's like their inner beast was woken up.

really do wonder about these claims. i've heard the th900 on different amps and haven't noticed any dramatic increase in performance.

I agree... My portable amp sounds just as good as my woo wa6... Sadly.
