Thanks for the great recommendations, guys!  Do the FXT90's or the Atrio's have any sound-cancellation qualities to them?

Most IEMs don't have active noise-cancellation abilities, but instead passive noise isolation. In my experience the Atrio is more isolating compared to the FXT90.

Thanks for the info, sounds like that's what my Klipsch ones had, but they did a fantastic job of it.  I couldn't hear a thing around me with even minimal sound playing through the IEM's.

Hey guys, one last question on this (I THINK).  I'm probably going to purchase the Atrio's, but are they upgradable with the Fishers custom reshells?  I know Future Sonics makes their own, but they are more expensive and the closest ear doctor that they list is like 4 hours away from me.

I don't know about Fisher, but the majority of companies don't do reshells for dynamic drivers. There was a thread going around trying to get people to do a group dynamic reshell, but I can't remember what company that was.

Oh okay, so if the fit with the Atrios isn't perfect for me, my best bet will be to get some well made tips probably?  I guess I have weird shaped ears, because the Klipsch ones are still the only ones I've ever owned that would stay in my ears lol.  If I have any issues with the Atrios, though, I'll start a new thread and see what my options are.  I ordered them late last night, can't wait to get them in.  Thanks!

No, nobody does dynamic reshells. UM attempted it and failed.

The custom sleeves for the Atrio made by Future Sonics are awesome (I have them), they are very high quality.

That's what I thought. When did UM attempt to reshell a dynamic and failed?

It's interesting because according to custom-iem.com they offer a reshell + 2 BAs for the IE8.

It was quite a while back, they also did an ortofon. They ended up adding a vent and the bass didn't turn out well, according to the user, whoever it was.
