i use jriver media center. best program ever. i don't need windows media player, itunes, or any of those programs anymore lol.

i love the bitperfect playback and all the cool customization stuff you can do. its also really good for organizing almost 17000 files.

for lossless files, i download in flac and just convert to m4a, but soon i probably won't have to do that, i just do it because its easier to transfer to ipod or open with other programs.

I'm currently using my DT990 Pro 250-Ohm right now.

Good headphones If your into bass and treble,

vocals not outstanding, but nothing wrong with the vocals either.

Best headphones for watching action movies.

Really have to be used with a headphone amplifier.

Need's a decent headphone amplifier.

The DT770's are not really the portable size.

I hate to say it but you really can't have it all. I personally would never buy a 200+ headphone for city bus travel call me crazy. I guess you could look at the V-moda's or the Senn HD25. I can't help you much further as I have never heard them. Just some more suggestions to research.
