Audio Technica ATH M50 or Marshall Major FX?

Hello i am looking for a new headphones. I am currently using the Sennheiser HD228 but I'm kinda of bored of it,

so i was looking for a replacement, my budget is around $150 and i stumbled upon 2 bad ass headphones which are

-Audio Technica ATH M50

-Marshall Major FX

 

Genre i listen to

-Rock

-Pop

-Dubstep

-Punk

 

Genre i rarely listen to

-Rap

-HipHop

-Metal

 

Places i will listen to

-Home

-School

-School bus

-Library

I say M50's just because the Marshall's are from the same OEM as Urbanears -- and those have mediocre reviews.

For sound quality, definitely the M50s. The Marshalls are decent, but overpriced, and as the previous poster mentioned, they're the same as Urbanears.

Also look into the Ultrasone HFI780s btw

before reading this thread, i have so much respect to marshall as a brand and for sound systems etc. but i didnt know that they're are the same as with urbanears... is the marshall really that bad? i mean many musicians use marshall speakers as their amplifications.... 

 

as for this m50 vs major fx.. i think ill go for the marshall monitors.
