Best headphones under 150$ for electronic music (Progressive house, dubstep etc.)

Hello i'm new here. In my life i have only owned headphones that cost under 40 dollars, so for the first time in my life i want to buy something little bit more expensive as i enjoy listening to music. I have done some research, yet find choosing right headphones confusing. Problem is i'm not experienced when it comes to headphones, so even after reading reviews i'm not sure which ones i should choose. Also many threads that are about headphones under 150$ are outdated.

Most of the time i listen to eletronic music, mainly progressive house and dubstep. So obviously bass is pretty important for me. When it comes to comfort of course i would prefer more comfortable headphones, but comfort isn't that important for me (I have used somewhat uncomfortable headphones all my life so you can say i'm used to that). I can't really afford headphones over 150 dollars. I will use them mainly for PC, but might use for my phone too.

After doing some research i think HD 280 could be good for me, but i'm not sure if i am going to the right direction. Have been considering buying used HD 595 or HD 555 too but apparently no one wants to ship them from USA to Europe. Have been considering getting Razer Carcharias and Logitech G35 too (gamer headphones), and although i sometimes play some videogames, i believe for the price you can get better sounding headphones which is my main goal.

Thank you a lot for help.

I also might save up for few weeks and get refurbished Sennheiser HD598 http://www.dakmart.com/p12252/SENNHEISER-HD598-OPEN-EAR-STEREO-HEADPHONES-W-WARRANTY/product_info.html

Then again i don't have a good audio card and it might be waste of money to buy expensive headphones.

What do you think about it?

All the Head-Fi members that love electronic now seem to love the Denon AH-D 2000s which you can get for $200.00 on sale at times. This is $50.00 more than you want to spend but just check em out on the other threads.

Even with a stock sound card you will notice nice improvements in sound quality with the Denons. The computer sound cards they use now have become much better than 10 years ago. They are also many times better than 1996. There may be a time in the future when you add a DAC or new sound card.

Thank you a lot. Do you know any US based websites that ship to Europe? Because Amazon doesn't.

Thank you a lot, they are pretty affordable. The bad thing is i enjoy bass and the article said that people who love bass should avoid them, although they still should way better than my cheap headphones.

Find someone in your town who has the AH-D 2000s and check out the bass.

I doubt i will found anyone. Everyone i know uses on of the cheapest headphones they can get, and i come from pretty poor country so finding someone who has expensive headphones is pretty much impossible.

I
'm not sure where you live, but these are about $150 USD(114 EURO) without shipping. Great reviews on them. Don't actually have a pair but hoping to get one soon.

Thank you, will read some reviews about them. And i mean't 150 USD without shipping included. Though i am thinking about saving up for a few months and getting Denon AH-D 2000, they seem like really good headphones.
