Hello Head fi,

I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile, but in the past 6 months I have been obsessing over music quality. I've grown up around music, and my dad was always interested, he's always had good equipment.

Anyways, total, I've owned beats pros, beats studios, beats tours, bose ae2i's (returned them) audio technica ath-m50's, and koss ur20's.

I picked up ALL my beats for a grand total of 260 from the monster outlet store with this crazy coupon I stumbled upon. The prices were raised, and I'm gonna assume like most audio enthusiasts, you hate beats products, but if for some reason you're interested, here's the link.

http://www.monstercable.com/outletstore

Prices:

Studios - 199$

Solos - 130$

Pros - 249$

Tours - 89$

Anyways,

I currently own Studios, Tours, and the Audio technicas.

Since I have a obsession love for headphones, I'm looking for one more pair to fill in the small gap I have in my collection.

I'm looking for a lightweight, easy to use (preferably bluetooth) pair of noise cancellation cans because the beats just don't do it for me (poor build quality makes me paranoid bringing them to certain places)

I have been lurking around and have narrowed my choices down to the: Bose (buy other sound equipment?) quietcomfort 15/3's, The sennheiser pxc 360 bt, sennheiser pxc 310 bt, sennheiser mm 550 travel, or potentially the pxc 350's.

I found all the sennheisers for a crazy cheap price online from this website: http://www.dakmart.com/m70/SENNHEISER/index.html?page=8

Are any of the headphones I listed good? Also, is it normal to have such an interest and have this many headphones? It's a fun passion for me and I take enjoyment in it. Where do you guys purchase your headphones?

You love headphones yet you buy beats? Come on. Are you people asking beats questions trolling? Also you've been lurking around and someone has recommended Bose on Head-fi? All of you beats guys have connections or coupons. Okay now that I've vented go with one of the Sennheisers. They are a lot better than bose or beats. I have listened to the top of the line bose headphones. Some 100 dollar iems are miles ahead. They just aren't worth it. 350 dollars for bose. Go with denon ahd2000 Much better for your "obsession with quality".

Denon AH-D2000... Like the best ever.

For the record, I do honestly think beats are an overpriced horrible pair of headphones. I have had my bad experiences with bose in the past (the ae2i's sounded good at first but later on turned out to be a sham) but technically since I am selling my pros, I got my beats for free. So don't assume I'm just a beats fanboy, I would laugh at anyone that actually paid a lot for them.

edit: I don't think I'm going to get the denon's, because I don't need a large cabled bulky pair of headphones for home listening on the computer (audio technica ath-m50's do the job)

just a question is your name supposed to bea  mix of bose senhieser and beats. One of those things does not match the other.

Yes it is if you didn't catch onto that already, it's a joke.

I've given up trying to reason with people who like beats and bose. It's their money, they're the ones listening to it and whatever they think makes their music sounds good is none of my business.

But I have to say, I've tested out a lot of bose headphones and so far they've all been the most comfortable headphones I've ever tried. They're light, they don't clamp down on your head too hard and the cups feel like pillows on your ears. Well.. they felt like pillows on my ears. I actually bought a pair of bose qc15's one winter and they worked great as a headphone/earmuffs cross, I of course returned them because I couldn't justify the price over the sound quality they put out.

The only headphone I've tried that was just as comfortable were the k701's with their huge, thick pads but obviously their not as portable as any of the bose headphones.

Look, I only mentioned that I had beats because I figured it was worth mentioning. I got them for free, so don't freak out.

I'm not gonna sit here and talk about how beats are the best headphones ever, they aren't and I know that. Just because I own them doesn't mean I'm a stupid mindless fanboy. I know there are better headphones out there so that's why I'm hear looking at a different pair.

Same goes for bose, I felt cheated when I bought my ae2i's before, so I returned them. but I'm wondering if the QC's are an exception because everyone seems to love them, plus I've tested them out and they have the best comfort and noise cancellation on headphones I've ever tried.

TL;DR: I know beats suck, I got them for free so I'm not going to defend them to my grave.

Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 should be added to your list. Much cheaper, good sq and good NC IMO.

(or)

Bose Quietcomfort 15's for 180-220 on amazon/craigslist

You guys didn't seriously recommend the D2000's to someone that was looking at NC headphones, right? I don't want to sound mean, but they'd be the last closed headphones I'd take with me for traveling.

Now, there isn't much in the NC world that sounds "good." I've heard all of Bose's and Sony's offerings and a couple random ones from AT and Senn and such. The Sony NC500 was better than the QC15, but were still pretty veiled. Has the Goldring NC headphone been put out of production? Those would have been good options at roughly $100.

But honestly, I'd just use the M50's and get some IEM's for when external noise really gets bad.

Can we please ban sony bose and beats from being said. They are awful. there just as bad for travel as denons. Its all marketing you see some rapper wearing them while singing or djaying. If you want portabily go with iems not beats.

Jeez, relax. Apparently you didn't read what I posted before about beats?

Hate on those companies all you want, but you guys haven't offered and alternatives except the gent who talked about some AT's, what is your input on the sennheisers?
