V-Moda Crossfade LP or something else

For $108 I think it's a good buy, but I want to know yours opinion.

Currently I own a pair of Samsung in-ear phones. They're good: they have good bass and a good isolation, but not perfect, so I can hear some noises when the volume is low or if the noise is loud.

I mostly listen music with a lot of bass, but also music with mids and highs (sometimes).

For example Linkin Park's songs, or Two Steps from Hell's ones.

I'll use them for listening my music on bus, so I need a good sounds isolation and a good design. And they must be comfy, of course! ;)

I'm learning english, so I can't explain much better. I hope you understand. :)

If you don't, I'll use Google translator or I can mention other songs/singers/bands I listen.

So, what I'm asking is: are there some headphones (I'd like a over-the-ear pair, but also a on-the-ear one is ok) better than this ones?

In 110 dollars?

Thanks in advance! :)

Be certain that the Crossfade LP's are genuine - there are fakes out there.

I got mine on Amazon for 109 a few months ago, and I would say they are most certainly worth the money.  At retail price, nah, there are better options.  But Ill say this...For the genres of music I listen to the most (Dubstep-both deep and "brostep", DnB, Glitch-Hop, Dirty Electro, Hip-Hop) the LPs are great.  They do not do very well with the metal I listen to though.

If you are ordering from amazon, at the very least you can try them out and return them if you arent happy.

They are extremely well built, very comfortable, and sound great for bass heavy genres.  For the price, I recommend them

They're on Amazon.com, so I think they're genuine.

If I want to be sure, what can I do?

Someone say:

"Unfortunately after a month I noticed the the inner plastic band where the metal adjustment bar that connects the phones to the padding the goes over your head had completely cracked on both sides of the headphones."

Have you or other guys here this issue?

I live in Italy, so return is a bit more expensive than usually. If I can, I'd rather avoid.

I think LPs will be good headphones for me, but if this problem is diffused maybe I should look something else...

I hope the guys who have that issue have an unfortunate pair.

P.s. The Amazon's price is the lower that I can find. Right?

I read about sales, something like 80$, but I can't find LPs at this price. Is it an old sale?

Can someone who own the LPs listen to this music and say if it sounds great or not?

Thanks in advance! =)

No problem, give me a few minutes.

By the way, that issue someone stated in the amazon review was looked at and taken care of by Val (owner/ceo of V-Moda).  No longer an issue.

EDIT:

Love the way you lie- FLAC- I hate this song, but it sounds good.  All of the Em tracks I have listened to (all lossless) sound great with the LPs

Lose Yourself- "

Not Afraid- "

TSFH- Could be better.  Instrumental separation is kind of weak.  Low end is over-powering

Justice- Sounds good, bass-heavy works well with this song

LP tracks- Both were good but could be better with a little EQ

HU- Really tried listening to this but had to turn it off, sorry

TLU- Didnt work..these headphones do not do well with this kind of music

Evanescence- Actually not too bad at all, kind of surprised me.  The guitars drown out her voice a tad, but a little EQ fixed that

Thanks! :)

I choose some musics because of their different kind (I don't listen all of them). As I thought, LPs sound good with most of my music. :)

I'm really happy to read this! Now I'm sure that I'll purchase a durable pair, which is an important feature, imho.

I'm going to order them right now form Amazon!

Thanks a lot for everything! beerchug.gif

I'm writing now, 'cause in the last 2 days I was busy.

I didn't buy the LPs... It takes about other 50 euros for shipping + taxes... My budget is not so large.

What other choises I have for about 80 dollars?

I saw the AT WS55s and the Pioneer HDJ500s.

Are there other similar cheaper choises?

P.s. I can order only from european shops (Amazon.co.uk and similar), so you might use those prices.

B&H has the LP2, which is an upgraded version of the LP - they seem to have fairly good international shipping policies, at least to Canada.  You should check it out there.

Thanks, but they're more expensive than LPs without shipping+taxes. With s+t their price increase again...

I'll look for something else or wait a discount in european shops.

How about the Phlips O'neil The Stretch?

They have suggested Audio-Technica ATH-M50 around the same price range ($160). Have not tried them though.

The LPs cost about 110 $, my maximum budget. The ATs are too expensive...

Maybe you might want to check out the XB700 or ZX700?  They're right around your price range...

The ZX700s are looking better (I'll use them mostly outside).

I'll read some reviews.

Thanks! :)

I also just saw this review for these new pair of Phillips headphones here, they look pretty cool!

They look pretty cool!  But they're so new (gonna be released in March) you might have some issues getting them where you live...
