Sold : Sugden Headmaster Class A Headphone Preamplifier, in great condition.  This features an all discrete class A design.  I am the original owner, and it comes with original manual and box.  They later came out with a remote controlled version, but this is the original one without remote (I never saw use for a remote for a headphone amp anyway). With 3 inputs and a tape output and preamp out, it makes a great sounding preamp with a powerful, spacious headphone amp.  It is a 110v unit.

Here's some additional information from the manual:

"Inputs are selected through a logic operated relay circuit to keep signal paths as short as possible.  The relays used are twin gold contact bifurcated crossbar types with a contact resistance of less than 0.05 ohms, and are chosen for their non-invasive handling of the incoming signals.  The single ended phono connectors are all high quality individual, gold plated connectors with Teflon inserts. The housing for the electronics is designed and precision engineering from high quality aluminium in our own manufacturing facility in England."

Bandwidth: -3dB points 10Hz and 270kHz.

Hi Steve,

This unit is still available, looks and works like new; I have never had any issues with it.  Sugden has been a high end audio company for decades and knows how to build products to last.
