Hi all,

I'm a bit new here, I have Superlux HB668b, Koss KSC75 and Koss UR40.

My prefered is superlux but I believe I can have better specially in imaging, I really appreciate sounds coming from differents places and clear details...

Concerning price, you can see at what I already have that my wallet is tiny :(

It can be IEMs or portables or full cans...Thanks for your help :)

what is your price range, and what music do you listen to?

Hi

I think you will do well to find a headphone with better imaging and detail than the 668b for under $100.  I've had that headphone along with Superlux 662f,  Superlux HD660,  SR80i, MDRV6,  AD700, Goldring DR150,  K240S and K141 mk2.  In my opinion the 668b clearly had much better imaging than all the others and in most cases more clarity and detail. I just did not like the sound signature so I sold them.  I think you would need to spend considerably more to see a clear improvement.  That is my opinion for what it is worth.

HD800 for sure.

For a wallet-friendly alternative, the SRH-940 :)

Having said that I have the Lindy headphones (Fischer Audio FA-003) on order and hoping they will be somewhat of an improvement over the others I have owned.

That's how I  would describe my modded srh940, but I guess you can hardly do better for your budget with what you already have. I  liked the k317, ear buds, but I  managed to break them frown.gif

I have the Brianwavz hm5's another re brand from Fischer, and yoga. They have to be one the best imaging headphones under 300. Especially for acoustic, and classical.

Yes Captain I hoped I could find better in that price range (50-100$) but like you said it'll be hard now that I have others opinion. Looking for used ones if I have chance...or saving more and waiting :)

Yet more questions...

I found this : the lindy 70£  http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/lindy-premium-hi-fi-headphones/

and this : HM5 119$  http://mp4nation.net/catalog/brainwavz-hm5-studio-monitor-headphones-preorder-p-663.html?number_of_uploads=0

I supose it's the same as FA003 115£  http://shop.frogbeats.com/fischer-audio-fa-003

...that's strange... the technicals seem the same...

yeah that's weird, they all look the same, brushed metal ear cups, and deep ear cups ...

maybe some rebranding. I'd get the cheapest then ...

I've ordered the lindy phones based on the presumption that they are the same headphone.  There has been a fair amount of discussion on this here but no conclusive proof.  A couple of folk have said they sound exactly the same.  A lindy employee apparently said they were the same and even Fischer audio themselves basically said other companies may be selling the same headphone.  I'm willing to bet they are.   Only difference seems to be the lack of velour pads which does not really bother me.  The higher price of the Fischer plus the difficulty in actually obtaining them would make me go for the Lindy every time.

But with the brainwavz they ofter a nice case it seems (I've read once this is only for the first batch sold).

Having the hm5's myself, I'm pretty sure they're all the the same headphones, a rebranded yoga monitoring headphone. something 880, forgot the name redface.gif
