Headphones for pc gaming recommendations

Thread Starter

So I currently own some Beyerdynamic DT770's and a pair of Denon AH-D2000's.  I am using an X-Fi Titanium HD as my soundcard and that is the extent of my "amp" power.  I doubt I'll change any of that since I am just using the headphones for gaming.

The DT770's are an older pair, and I got the D2000's maybe a year ago.  The D2000's sound better to me, but the DT770's are better at blocking outside noise.

So basically, I was wondering if anyone can give me recommendations on a good set of closed headphones that will give me good sound (and bass since both of the pairs I own have that) but will block out outside sounds better than the D2000's.  I want the best of both worlds if possible.

Price isn't really an issue but for something that is just running on an x-fi soundcard amp I won't need to spend more than $500 anyways.

The Sennheiser PC 360 is designed especially for gaming, and being a Sennheiser it sounds a lot better than other "gaming" headphones.
