Over-ear headphones with portability and a strong driver?

Thread Starter

I have a pair of Grado SR-80's. They provide smooth natural sound, but sadly have proven to be brittle and therefor lack portability. I just shipped 'em back to Grado as the rod has worked itself loose from the left can. Any suggestions on a pair of over-ear headphones that are durable and provide a strong driver as I mainly use an iPod or computer? I would spend up to 350 dollars, but no more than that. Thanks

Heya,

Shure SRH840

AudioTechnica A900X

Beyer DT770 PRO

GMP 435

Fischer Audio FA-003 (or Brainwavz HM5), also Fischer Audio FA-002W (wood)

Ultrasone PRO 750

AKG K550

Check 'em out.

Consider a simple Fiio E11 as well.

Very best,
