Hi, i am quite new in head-fi (even if long time owner of koss porta pro, a few years of HD 650, basic 100Eur pro-ject amp only but now decided to bear the category of head-fi more seriously), even if i am quite experienced in hifi. just bought HD800 and waiting for my violectric v200, but thinking what is the most approariate equipment to this - primarily sound source and cables + maybe dac?? i do not know. any experience with this? do not care about price very much. i will mostly play turntable (guess no need for dac :)) + next month i am buying cd player audionet art g3 - i guess quite a good german piece for 5500Eur. To make a long story short - do i need DAC when having high-end CD player and turntable? what cables are meaningful for connection CD/turntable => violectric. THanks for any hints for a begginer in headfi category.. vlad
