DT880 600ohm Recable

I was just wondering what people's opinions are were of the DT880 600ohm re-cabled with a balanced interconnection.

I am also curious as to who did the best job for the price with re-cabling since I currently only know of Zombie_X and HeadRoom re-cabling the DT880's with HeadRoom being a bit steep at a little over $300 to re-cable.  All opinions and suggestions are welcome.

I believe Drew at Moon Audio also does recabling. No idea on prices.

I do not recall what the stock beyer cord and innards are like, but you might be able to just re-terminate it to a balanced connector, if it has 4 conductors already wired across.

Ohh, thanks for the suggestion.  Moon Audio does re-cable the DT880's according to their webpage and this thread.

They also also have the option of splitting the L/R wires and even making them detachable, so Moon Audio is certainly of interest to me.

It's not that hard to do yourself for about $20. Buy cables, plugs and supplies at Markertek for example. There are plenty of "how-to's" here.
