I've gone and got myself a pair of Sony MDR-XB1000s. I'd like to amp them, because the recommendation is to get an amp. I drive these cans using my HTC Desire, HP TouchPad and iPod nano 6th gen, but usually from my Desire. I don't want to spend any more than $100-150 on it, and it should be relatively small compared to a 3.7" smartphone. If you need any more info just ask
