Upgrade Path?

Hi guys, I'm new here. Nice to meet you.

 

Here's my situation: I have a foam-insert-removed Sennheiser HD555 and a Fiio E7 and I always use the E7's DAC because I don't have any clean analog sources.

 

I have <$150 to throw around. What should I do?: Buy the Fiio E9 or upgrade my headphones? If the latter, which ones? (I most value neutrality)

My friend just bought some FA-006 so hopefully I'll get to listen to them thoroughly soon and let you know... He paid around 125
Not sure how the 555s sound though so would there actually be an increase in quality? I wouldn't be able to say.

Shure SRH840 is another option for neutral sounding headphones.

Will I likely find anyone that suggests upgrading my amp for the HD555?
