Audioengine N22 vs. Stereo Receiver

Hey everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Audioengine N22 desktop amp and what they think of it.  Currently I have a Sony stereo receiver that has a PC and a turntable connected to it and it powers a pair of speakers as well.  There are several things that I dislike about it and I would like to replace it with a budget of ~$300.  The Audioengine N22 seems like a good choice because of it's price, it takes two inputs, can power speakers, and is small.  I'd like to know how it compares to a stereo receiver (or integrated amp), like the Harman Kardon 3490.

If you plan on running a turntable, make sure it has a phono preamp in it, I don't believe it does.

Yeah, I have an external phono amp for it, so that isn't a concern.  Thanks for the response.
