Android phones and USB DACs

Hello!
I need help in finding a way to make my new Dragonfly Black working with my LG G2. I'm using a custom Android Nougat ROM (AOSP Extended), but the DAC just won't work. It doesn't get recognized by the UAPP as well. I tried to go back to stock, and it works perfectly on stock with UAPP or Hiby, but not with system apps (like youtube or system player). However, I can't stand the stock rom and would really like to find a way to use it with my custom rom. The DAC gets recognized and working with UsbAudioTester, so I suppose there's still hope.
After some research I understood that the problem is probably in poorly configured kernel for USB audio support. If so, is there any ways to fix that (maybe flashing some different kernels)?
I tried installing Viper4Android as I've heard it uses its own audio driver, but it didn't help. Maybe there's some other way to replace the driver?
Will be glad to get any advice.
Thanks.
What version is stock based on?

Talk to the developers who created your ROM. Most likely they have a thread on XDA Forums.

The stock is Android Lollipop (5).
I tried to contact the developers on XDA, but got no answer so far (it has been a couple of days since then already).

Try a custom ROM based on 6.

Try a custom ROM based on 6.

Doesn't work either. I had CM13 beforehand, and I've also tried a couple of other roms. Actually, I've moved through a lot of custom roms based on 6 or 7, and none of them had USB audio working. So I just chose the one I like the most in hope that I'll be able to fix the audio somehow.

Hello,

I have a question about Android charging and using a DAC. I am currently using a Hifime DAC (USB input, single 3.5mm output) with a Samsung Galaxy S3. This setup has been working extremely well! I managed to find an OTG "Y" cable that allows the use of this DAC WHILE also charging the phone using an external power source, something that I haven't been able to find on other Samsung models. After trying various other cables with a few different Samsung models, it would either play audio and not charge or vice versa.

I was wondering if anyone else here has found/used an OTG DAC cable that would also charge the phone, specifically on newer Samsung models such as the Galaxy S5 or a later Note.

Also, I normally use CM13+ on my phones if that makes any difference. CM12/13 has been working in this setup without a flaw on the S3.

Thanks!

Any have luck on LG V20 on a USB DAC. Was not able to connect my LH Geek Out on it. On Samsung Note 3 it was solid.

Apparently, the USB audio feature is enabled on factory Samsung Galaxy S III:

Keep lobbying for the Android USB audio standardisation (i.e. USB DAC as a standard USB device, like a USB mass storage device, for Android smartphone/tablet).

I'm getting one TP 30 in a few days, anyway do these Nakamichi plugs connect firmly on the amp? as i have a similar amp with an identical output connections, and my plugs are totally shaky and unstable when plugged in...

Does anyone know how to get an app that has direct access to a USB DAC (like UAPP or HF player) to release the USB port so that another app can access it (such as iplayer radio or Tidal)?  I find I have to restart the DAC (Mojo) and make sure I don't allow UAPP or HF player to access it to allow anything else to use it.
fyi I'm using a Xperia Z3C "downgraded" to 4.4.4 Kitkat (rooted stock)  to be able to use Sony's "Hi-res to USB"  which prevents android upsampling - improves things like Tidal locally stored files.... All in all this is an awesome portable rig!

I know older versions of UAPP or NeutronMP had these issues but not the latest ones.

Try updating your app(s) and delete if they are place as default by Android when you attach your USB DAC.

Update: And, OH, had those issues when I was w/ Android 4.4. So try the ones above first.
