Dugood HDAP-01D - a HD-capable music server on the cheap?

Does anyone have experience of this device:

It seems almost too good to be true at the price! How does it actually sound? Is it a better desktop solution than a DAP+dock? How about the analogue outputs on the HDAP-01 (the one with a built-in DAC)?

I just ordered one a few days ago. Ive been searching for a ss type of transport device. I had a QLS QA 350 for awhile and thought it made a great sounding transport especially on straight battery. But its display is really limited and it will only play 16/44. Also had a BPP 01 but it was defective and I only got it to play a couple of times. It sounded great as well but again limited to wav.

The HDAP-01D pushes a lot of buttons technically but it remains to be seen whether it actually delivers. I will try and post some comments when I get the unit.

I've had one for about 6 months - great unit.  Basically the only flaw is that it doesn't do gapless playback.  High rez playback can only be done via WAV files.

I can't seem to get a response as to whether new firmware will be issued at some point.

Oh, another tip, use a solid state hard drive in it - no noise whatsoever!!

Hi

I just got my unit today, but I cant seem to get a signal out of it on the coax output. Is there something in the menu that needs to be set up?

Its a little frustrating that the set up menu is only in Chinese.

Thanks
