is it just me or does Hawthorne Heights' album If Only You Were Lonely and Silverstein's album, Discovering the Waterfront, sound really good, well produced and mastered?

thanks for any replies, and for others who dont know these bands check them out.

Regards

Which "Discovering Waterfront" are you talking about? The original or reissue?

the original i think i have, whats the difference?

i also love some of their old demo songs, but the recording on those is not good, i like them because of how raw they sounds, and you can hear his voice failing all the time.

I don't know the difference to be honest, but I do know that the album had been reissued with different cover art, and maybe it's remastered? Not a fan of Silverstein though, but I have "Discovering the Waterfront".

It sounds okay, but not so special in my opinion. Maybe that's because of my preference of bright sound characteristic. Love the cymbals in "Your Sword vs. My Dagger". Haven't listened them for a long time anyway.

thats it, i love the cymbol/bass contrast in Silverstein's stuff, and great mids too. it all just sounds very nicely balanced in my opinion.

the cymbols do sound so good.

I just found my physical copy when I cleaned my room yesterday.  Ripped it lossless but havent had a chance to listen to it all the way through.  Its been a few years though.  They used to be my favorite band in high school (I graduated in 2007) but havent really gotten much play since I dove into the world of EDM heavily.

Funny you post this considering I found my album yesterday ha, I will definitely listen to the whole thing tomorrow and post back.

I found my Saosin albums too, so happy.

i love saosin too, especially the song seven years, it just has so much emotion.
Voices and you're not alone are also really good.
