Headphones with sound like beats. - Page 2

IIRC Klipsch Image Ones can go on sale around ~$100 quite often, most of their headphones are known to be bass heavy.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

I personally rate my Koss ProDj100's much more highly than any Beats headphones i've heard, especially when you consider that they are 1/3 of the price. I personally feel that the sound is less 'constrictive' than beats, and it just sounds fuller, especially when you put the m50 pads on. I am personally a big drum and bass fan and i have no complaints about the amount of bass on the Koss.

I would also second this. I heard the Klipsch Image One right next to the Beats Pro, and I thought the Image One was cleaner, clearer, and had a lot more sound stage, but the bass was the same in quantity and better in quality.

If you can stretch your budget a bit, you should consider the Denon D1100s.  They're the bassiest cans (in terms of impact) I've ever heard, next to the Beats Pros, and possibly the HTF600s.

Pioneer fan: Try Pioneer HDJ500. Bloated mid-bass with plenty of rumble, but clear mids and treble. Just under $90 usually. Looks nice too.

Another vote for the HFI-580/DJ1.

I vote for m50s or 750DJ which I own and sounds great once burned in for a cheap set of cans

you want bass? get the m-audio q40. put them on and feel the tremor emerge. absolute smasher of a bass-lovers headphone :)

I second the vote for the Q40, definitely a Beats-killer. Monster bass, but doesn't ruin the mids or highs at all. Vocals are very pleasant!

Just heard the denon d2000's, the bass was tight and deep. I would definitely choose them as a bass alternative to the beats. Although, I do love the build quality of the beats pro, but I'd never shell out $500 for them, $200 and we're talking.

Have you tried something else?

I bet you once you listen to some other headphone, you will notice the big difference.

I hate the Beats just as much as anyone, but I'd take the Beats over this.

This.

Anyway, to the OP, for the $100, Ultrasone HFI-580 has been mentioned, and that's a solid option.

For something, "definitely" worth, Denon D2000.

In fact, I've heard from a friend of mine (who has listened to both) that the Monoprice 8323's and the Beats Solo HD's sound very very similar.

And the Monoprice headphone are...I kid you not...$21.

You seem to really like the Beats so why don't you just get a pair? The Solo HD can be found for between $100 to $130 refurbished on Monster's Online Outlet Store.

I would normally recommend a bass-freak some XB500s, DJ100s, or HFI-580s, but someone who likes Beats would like Crossfade LPs more than any of those.

Basically this... Crossfade LP's are "bassy" cans that look good as well. The best part is that you can get 'em new for a little over $100. They'd be my recommendation for anyone that's looking for a good-looking bass-leaning set of headphones or just a good looking set of headphones that sound very good. Here's my review on 'em:
